Di-ammonium hydrogen phosphate (DAP)* is the most common source of yeast supplement at present, possibly because it is inexpensive and easy to use.  DAP is a water-soluble ammonium phosphate. It is a yeast nutrient, resulting in stronger and more viable yeasts that in many cases work faster.

*DAP is manufactured in Ladenburg, Germany
