Sodium tripolyphosphate (STPP)

Sodium tripolyphosphate (STPP) is also used for dishwash and other food service applications.  The choice of STPP grade is critical in determining curing times for dishwash blocks and the phase-stability of slurry and gel formulations. A slow hydrating form of STPP (referred to as Phase-II) is ideal for the formulation of powders for automatic dispensing systems.
